A high-frequency vibrating poker (also known as an internal or immersion concrete vibrator) is a specialized construction tool engineered to consolidate fresh concrete by eliminating entrapped air pockets. Unlike conventional pendulum pokers that rely on a mechanical drive shaft, high-frequency pokers feature an electric motor integrated directly inside the poker head. This internal motor spins an eccentric weight at speeds up to 12,000 to 18,000 vibrations per minute (VPM) at a specialized frequency of 200 Hz.
